A Sunday Super-League showdown! Six games are played in a succession, leaving spectators wondering what the table would look like at the end of the day.

Let’s find out – in our WSL Weekly Magazine.

BRIGHTON 0-8 TOTTENHAM

A dismal loss for frustrated hosts Brighton as they concede eight goals to visitors Tottenham.

Molly Bartrip scored the first goal for the Spurs barely two minutes into the game. With an open net, Nikola Karczewska made it 2-0 in the nineteenth minute. Before the halftime whistle, Ashleigh Neville (29′) and Drew Spence (45+2′) make it 4.

In the second half, Brighton continued to make careless passes, leaking goals for their visitors, which resulted in Neville 56′, Spence 58′, and replacement Jessica Naz 60′ 83′ concluding the game in an 0-8 defeat for the hosts.

For Brighton’s former England manager, Hope Powell, this is clearly a sign to make some needed changes! Brighton remain in eleventh place on three points.

Tottenham go home sitting comfortably with nine points in fifth position.

EVERTON 0-3 MANCHESTER UNITED

Manchester United’s red-hot form see them remain top of the Women’s Super League table.

Nikita Pariss opened the scoring for United within thirteen minutes into the first half.

Katrine Veje was forced off the pitch with an injury leaving Everton with just a ten-woman with more than twenty-five minutes left of the game. With that advantage, Manchester United’s Leah Galton 55′ and Hayley Ladd 68′, ruthlessly punish Everton.

Everton end their match week with nine points in sixth position.

MANCHESTER CITY 2-1 LIVERPOOL

Manchester City earn another three points at home.

Khadija Shaw, 21, scored City’s first goal after a bright start. Sengal, 33′, brings Liverpool back into the game with a goal just before halftime.

Hayley Raso (75′) scores the game-winning goal for City, resulting in a Blue victory.

Liverpool remain in eleventh place with three points, while Manchester City is in fourth place with nine points.

READING 2-1 LEICESTER CITY

Five consecutive losses leaves Leicester City bottom of the table.

Natasha Flint’s 36′ goal gave Leicester a fighting chance in the first half, but their victory dreams were dashed as Rowe’s double goal in the final minutes handed Reading the victory.

Reading have three points in ninth position, while are Leicester yet to earn a single point.

ARSENAL 3-1 WEST HAM

Arsenal hit a new WSL record with thirteen consecutive wins!

West Ham’s Dagny Brynjarsdottir (35) scores the game’s opening goal, shocking Arsenal. Just before half-time, substitute Jordan Nobbs 42′ equalises for the hosts.

In the second half, Arsenal’s Stina Blackstenius made it 2-1 before Frida Maanum 70′ confirmed the Gunners victory.

A deserved win for Arsenal with 71% possession, who remain second with equal points to Manchester United and Chelsea.

West Ham sit seventh with nine points.
