This week, defending champions Chelsea ended Manchester United’s unbeaten start, and a battle at the bottom erupted as West Ham and Brighton & Hove Albion competed in a goal-frenzied encounter.

Let’s take a look at all the weekend action in our WSL Weekly Magazine.

LEICESTER CITY 0-4 ARSENAL

Arsenal continued their perfect winning start by dominating hosts Leicester City at the King Power Stadium.

Frida Maanum put Arsenal ahead after 13 minutes, followed by Caitlin Ford 22 minutes later, who headed home Beth Mead’s cross, before Steph Catley 37 minutes later made it 0-3 from a corner.

Top scorer Stina Blackstenius completes Arsenal’s scoring on 48 minutes – 0-4.

Leicester suffers their sixth consecutive defeat in the WSL; the club remains bottom of the table, and new manager Willie Kirk succeeds Lydia Bedford. On November 20th, they face West Ham United, can they strike lucky?

Arsenal remains top of the WSL with eighteen points.

WEST HAM UNITED 4-5 BRIGHTON & HOVE ALBION

The rally of the season!

Brighton, with a quick turnaround, tallied three goals in twelve minutes, with Carter at 8′, 20′, and Veatriki Sarri at 11′.

Victoria Williams, 59′ gave a lifeline to West Ham with an own goal, but teammates Elizabeth Terland 68′ and Jorja Fox 71′ rectified the mistake for a total of five goals.

Viviane Asseyi’s 85-86′ late double sent shockwaves through the Blues for a grand finale, but at the end of the whistle, it was Brighton who took three points.

West Ham with nine points holds tight to eighth position, just above Brighton who have six points.

MANCHESTER UNITED 1-3 CHELSEA

Manchester United waved goodbye to their perfect start as Chelsea go home victorious with a 1-3 win.

A goalless first half made way for a clinical second half.
