ADVICE FOR TRAVELLING FANS @AlbionObsessed

What to expect?

We are an extremely welcoming club at Brighton & Hove Albion. I’ve heard a lot of opposing fans enjoy our away end. Padded seats, plenty of space, lights in the away end of your clubs’ colours. We seem to try to make away fans feel as at home as possible – much to the annoyance of a lot of our fan base.

Advice for travelling fans?

Southern Rail who operates the trains back and forth from the stadium back to brighton are an absolute shamble. If you can book a coach with your away day companies, then do because getting the train is unbelievably stressful at times. The travel time from Falmer back to brighton is around 6/7 minutes. If you’re going back towards London, you’ll be best to head to platform 2 and head towards Lewes.Β

Away fans’ pubs?

Unfortunately, at the AMEX we are in the middle of nowhere, so if you’re looking for a pub to go to beforehand with some mates, I’d leave enough time to go into brighton before kick-off. Unfortunately, I’m not sure on what pubs are away specific in brighton, a lot of fan bases announce on the day which pub they’ll be adopting so make sure you’re searching your club’s hashtag!

VILLA FANS PRESPECTIVE – @REECE_AV

Another good away day can easily do the weekend there. Bar being open after full time is superb, transport to the ground well organised as well (free with match ticket). One of the best is Brighton.
