On Thursday evening, Aston Villa will face AZ Alkmaar at Villa Park in Group E.

How have AZ performed domestically since their 4-1 defeat to Aston Villa in the last Europa Conference League game?

First up, NEC Nijmegen; and there were worrying scenes as NEC Nijmegen forward Bas Dost collapsed on the pitch in injury time.

Players of both sides created a protective barrier around the 34 year-old; interlocking their arms while he received medical attention. In a reassuring moment, the striker woke up before being slowly taken away on a stretcher.

The game was called off with the score 1-2 to the visitors, NEC Nijmegen.

At the weekend AZ travelled to seventh-placed Excelsior. Cisse Sandra scored in second-half stoppage time to salvage a point for the home side; Mayckel Lahdo opened the soring for AZ Alkmaar on 72-minutes, but the visitors couldn’t hang on.

AZ Alkmaar sit 3rd in the Eredivisie; unbeaten after 10 games.

Legia Warszawa halted their alarming league form with an away win against ninth-placed Radomiak.

Ending a run of four consecutive league defeats to Jagiellonia, Raków, league leaders Śląsk, and Stal Mielec.

A single goal (scored by Josué on 28 minutes) was enough to earn Legia a much needed win!

Legia occupy sixth place in the Ekstraklasa.

HŠK Zrinjski Mostar continued their pursuit of league leaders Borac with a 3-1 home win against Tuzla.
