LOAN WATCH | AZAZ RED-HOT FORM CONTINUES!

Finn Azaz continued his red-hot form from the weekend with another goal contribution to help Plymouth advance out of the Papa John’s Trophy group stages.

Let’s see how all our Claret and Blue loan stars performed this week.


*FINN AZAZ

Finn Azaz was named Man of the Match in the weekend’s 4-1 thrashing of MK Dons, scoring twice and assisting one. Azaz sparkled again, this time in the Papa John’s Trophy. With the team scoreless, Finn Azaz came off the bench and set up teammate Niall with a delightful through ball. Plymouth U21’s advanced to the next round with that one goal, defeating Crystal Palace U21’s.


CHAMPIONSHIP

Aaron Ramsey started against Luton Town on Tuesday night after coming off the bench in stoppage time in the weekend’s 2-1 loss to Watford. Aaron Ramsey came close to putting Norwich ahead, but his right-footed shot was just too high. He played 70 minutes before being replaced.

Jaden Philogene-Bidace came off the bench for the final 10 minutes or so in both games for Cardiff City on Saturday and Wednesday night; A 1-0 defeat to Coventry City and a big 0-3 loss to QPR.

Tim Iroegbunam put up a solid performance in a 3-0 win over Cardiff City.

On Saturday, Keinan Davis scored the game-winning goal for Watford in a 2-1 victory over Norwich. Davis and his teammates, though, were overpowered away at Millwall on Wednesday night, losing 3-0, and Davis was substituted in the 74th minute.

Kaine Kesler-Hayden remains out of the Huddersfield Town matchday squad as his miserable loan move continues. Kortney Hause remains side-lined.


LEAGUE ONE

MK Dons’ Louie Barry grabbed an assist in the weekend’s 4-1 defeat to Plymouth. On Tuesday night, Barry came off the bench at around the hour mark for “The Dons” in a 2-0 away day EFL Trophy victory over Walsall.

Viljami Sinisalo watched his side, Burton Albion from the sidelines, be held to a 1-1 draw at home against Morecambe on Saturday. In the EFL Trophy, Viljami Sinisalo was the man between the sticks and got himself an clean sheet, as his side destroyed Bradford; 4-0 on home soil.


LEAGUE TWO

Tyreik Wright looked lively for Bradford, nearly getting on the scoresheet, in a 1-0 away day win at Salford on Saturday. Wright was not part of the matchday squad in EFL Trophy defeat at Burton Albion, on Tuesday night.

Caleb Chukwuemeka didn’t feature for Crawley Town in Saturday’s 2-1 victory over Newport. Caleb Chukwuemeka was involved on Tuesday night though against his parent club; Well, the Aston Villa U21’s to be precise in the EFL Trophy. Caleb was introduced just before the hour mark off the bench and got himself an assist for the fourth as Crawley beat the Aston Villa U21’s 5-2.

Hayden Lindley hasn’t featured for Newport County since October the 4th.


SCOTLAND

Ben Christine came off the bench around the hour mark for Kilmarnock in both Saturday’s goalless draw at St. Mirren and Tuesday’s 2-1 victory over Dundee United in the Scottish League Cup.

Brad YoungΒ has become a regular starter for Ayr United and played 57′ minutes on Saturday before being replaced. His side lost 2-1 away at Dundee.


REST OF THE WORLD

Wesley was an unused sub in Levante’s 2-1 victory over Leganes on Sunday.

Bertrand TraorΓ© played the full 90′ minutes and was part of the winning side, as Istanbul Basaksehir won comfortably; It finished 2-0 against rivals, Istanbulspor.
