As the anticipation builds for Aston Villa’s return to Premier League action on Wednesday evening we focus our attention on the loan stars in action this weekend.

Cameron Archer, Keinan Davis, Arjan Raikhy, Jed Steer, Louie Barry, Tyreik Wright, Seb Revan, Frédéric Guilbert and Lourve Kalinic were all in action – let’s find out how they performed.

Cameron Archer

Cameron Archer made it 2 goals in 3 games in the Championship, scoring the only goal of the match to give Preston 1-0 win away against Hull.

Keinan Davis

Keinan Davis started for Nottingham Forest in their FA Cup 4th round tie against Leicester City at the City Ground.

On 19 minutes, Davis brought the ball down on his chest, smashing a volley against the bar. Then 4 minutes later, a Davis assist set-up Zinckernagel to put Forest ahead; latching on to his headed pass.

The Championship side beat Leicester City convincingly – 4-1, advancing into the 5th round.

Overall, Davis looked sharp and powerful, playing 71 minutes before being substituted.

Arjan Raikhy

Arjan Raikhy produced an influential display in midfield, completing the whole 90 minutes in a 2-1 win for Grimsby Town over Notts County.

Jed Steer

Jed Steer starts in the FA Cup 4th Round and keeps a clean sheet in Luton’s 3-0 win over Cambridge.

Louie Barry

Louie Barry came off the bench in the 70th minute, but two late Exeter City goals condemned Swindon Town to a 1-2 home defeat.

Tyreik Wright

Tyreik Wright made his debut in Colchester’s 1-0 win against Leyton Orient, staring the game before being replaced on 63 minutes.

Seb Revan

Seb Revan was in contention for the Man of the Match award after a superb performance for Hereford in their 2-1 win against Boston United.

Frédéric Guilbert

Guilbert started for Strasbourg and pretty much played the whole game.

Strasbourg were in control and leading Nantes 1 goal-to-nil, before Fred was tactically withdrawn in 90+ minutes, replaced with a more defensive minded player to run the clock down.

Lovre Kalinic

Lourve Kalinic captained Hajduk with clean sheet today. He makes 2 fantastic saves in a 4-0 away victory against HNK Gorica.
