Round-up on how all our Claret and Blue loan stars performed this weekend. Starting with this week’s Star Man – Kaine Kesler-Hayden

*STAR MAN – KAINE KESLER-HAYDEN

Kaine Kesler-Hayden followed up his goal last week with another outstanding effort. The right-back had an assist and was named Man of the Match after assisting on what proved to be the winning goal. Rudoni linked up with Kaine Kesler-Hayden, who set up Rhodes for his second goal in as many games 10 minutes into the second half. Huddersfield moved up to 22nd after defeating Rotherham 2-0.

CHAMPIONSHIP

Tim Iroegbunam started and played the full 90 minutes for QPR. Iroegbunam, now playing for another former Aston Villa coach, Neil Critchley, sat in front of the QPR defence. His side failed to make the most of their possession, and they suffered a 3-0 defeat on home soil to Luton Town.

Jaden Philogene-Bidace was part of another back-to-back 0-0 stalemate for Cardiff City, but this time it was more entertaining than the previous game. Philogene had a shot in the first half, which sailed high and wide but also did produce a defensive block to stop Coventry City scoring. Philogene was withdrawn on the 67th minute.

Keinan Davis and his Watford side endured a miserable Friday evening as their team was thumped 4-0 away to Swansea. Davis wasted “The Hornets'” best chance in the opening exchanges when he headed gratefully into the keeper’s arms from point-blank range. Davis played the whole game. Kortney Hause remains out of the matchday squad for Watford as he recovers from an injury.

Aaron Ramsey was also out with an injury as Norwich drew 1-1 at home against Reading.

LEAGUE ONE

Louie Barry got the nod to start for MK Dons ahead of Thursday’s game at Peterborough. Barry played the full 90 minutes but was unable to influence his team to get anything from the game. Barry had very few opportunities, and his side lost by two goals to nil.

Viljami Sinisalo was an unused substitute in a 2-1 win over Forest Green. Finn Azaz remains sidelined for Plymouth, who picked up their second 1-0 win in a row over Wycombe Wanderers.

LEAGUE TWO

Tyreik Wright pounced early as Bradford beat Harrogate 1-0 to end a run of three consecutive League Two defeats and claim their first home win since September. Brad Halliday lofted a pass down the right wing, and Wright latched on to it, cut inside, and then beat keeper Pete Jameson with a low shot that took a slight deflection in the very first minute of the game. Wright played the full 90 minutes.

Caleb Chukwuemeka began the game in the starting XI for Crawley Town, but his side was comfortably brushed aside as they suffered a 3-1 away defeat at Stevenage. Chukwuemeka was unable to impress and was withdrawn in the 67th minute.

Hayden Lindley was not in the matchday squad as his side, Newport County, shared a point in a 0-0 draw at home to leaders Leyton Orient.
