Aston Villa travel to Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday afternoon looking to record back-to-back wins at The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for the first time since 1995.
Manager of the Month nominee Dean Smith takes his Villa side into the game with nothing to fear and full of confidence after wins against Everton and Manchester United.
Danny Ings will be hopeful of continuing his red-hot scoring streak against Spurs; in his last 3 appearances against the North London outfit, Ings has netted 4 times.
It’s the polar opposite for Nuno Espirito Santo, after a positive start to the season winning the opening three games, Spurs’ form has dramatically collapsed, losing their last three games and conceding 3 goals in each of those defeats. including, last weekend’s North London Derby.
This week Justin Hawthorne caught up with Hollie Agombar – Host of Hollie’s Hotspurs Live, they appeared together on BBC Breakfast throughout the Euro 2020 tournament; filming from their respective lock-down built garden pubs.

You appointed Nuno in the summer from our local rivals Wolves, where he did a superb job overall, how has he settled at Spurs?
He started very well with that win against Manchester City which I think we were all very shocked about but since then it’s all got a bit too much for him personally. In the NLD we looked very lost and the players didn’t even seem up for it which for me rings alarms bells because if you can’t motivate a squad to play in a derby then what can you motivate them for.
Seems to be no direction from him. That’s 3 losses on the bounce now from Palace, Chelsea and Arsenal so the game against you I feel is a must-win for Nuno’s head.
Are the fans happy with the appointment, and what are your season expectations?
Many were not happy that Nuno was appointed as it felt like a last resort.
Having been linked with Ten Hag, Nagglseman, Conte – all of them either staying where they were or the board not giving them what they wanted in the contract, we were left with no option to keep looking and Nuno looked like the last resort.
Most wanted Potter and now I can see why. He’s doing great things at Brighton playing the way Spurs fans want to see Spurs playing. Reminds me a bit like Poch in his ways of working, so would’ve been the better options.
At the moment the way we are going at the start of the season I would’ve said top 6 now I’m saying top 9 if we keep this up.
FORM GUIDE
You had a very similar summer to us, with constant speculation linking Kane to City, although he did ask for a transfer.
How have the fans reacted to him staying after asking to leave and do you think it may have been better to have cut ties with a player who wanted to leave, given his early season performances?
Harry Kane is a very complex situation.
None of us knows the exact details as neither club nor player have ever come out and said what has happened, but it’s evident in the way he’s playing his head is not in it.
The NLD, for example, he’s the top goal scorer in the competition so regardless of where his head is at you would think he would turn up but he never did.
He signed that 6-year deal because of Poch, because of the way we were playing, because of the new stadium and we all thought at the time we would bring silverware home but unfortunately, our board never invested at the right time or into the right things.
No Spurs fan would begrudge Harry for going but it’s the way he now looks like he’s sulking. The big problem for him now is if he doesn’t start playing well no one will want him to come the summer

SPURS VS ASTON VILLA
How will you line up this weekend ,and have you got any players missing?
The weekend will be interesting as every Spurs fan is fed up seeing Dele Alli on the pitch.
We also don’t want to see Hojberg isolated in the way he has been because it just hasn’t worked with the midfield dynamic.
Keep your eye on Gil, he warrants a start as he looks the most liveliest, but in all honesty I’m dreading the game.
Who do you see as your key player this weekend ?
Like I’ve said if Gil starts he will be very good. He’s young and already seems to have found his feet yet not gaining a start in the Premier League. He is a bright spark!
Ndombele is also class but it’s his fitness that really lets him down but if he’s on his game from the start he will cause you problems.

From the outside what’s your thoughts on what’s happening at Aston Villa this season?
I think you’ve done some class business.
Letting Grealish go, but in the way where there was transparency between your board and fans is something I’m very envious of.
The way you then used that money effectively to build on your team is something I highly respect to.
The Danny Ings move was out of nowhere too and many Spurs fans wanted to see him at the Lane as we have wanted a second striker for as long as I can remember and you can always rely on Ings
PREMIER LEAGUE HISTORY
HEAD-TO-HEAD
Spurs – 22 Wins (13 Home)
Draw – 15 Draws
Aston Villa – 15 Wins (6 Away)
Looking forward to our visit to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, after the defeat to your nemesis last weekend and our win at Old Trafford are you nervous about the game?
I was in fact at the Chelsea game the weekend before last and it was horrific. We were fine first 20 mins and then Chelsea just contained us and killed us off the second half. I would like to say fear us at home but I wouldn’t as I just don’t think the players are playing for Nuno.
Your away form is looking better each week so to beat United the way you did you should be very confident against us.
What player/players are you most worried in our team?
Has to be Danny Ings 100%.
Living in Southampton and most of my friends being scummers I know exactly what that man is capable of and Ollie Watkins. I just don’t think our defence nor the mismatch in our midfield will be able to contain them.
And finally what’s your score prediction?
My prediction is a 2-1 loss to Spurs. I really really hope I’m wrong!

Aston Villa dent Spurs’ top-six ambitions
Aston Villa came from behind to dent Tottenham Hotspur’s chances of qualifying for European football next season.
Steven Bergwijn had given Spurs the lead with a superb strike but the hosts gifted Villa an equaliser when Sergio Reguilon sliced Marvelous Nakamba’s cross into his own net to score the 1,000th own goal in Premier League history.
Ollie Watkins completed the turnaround six minutes before half-time with a close-range finish for his 14th goal of the campaign. (premierleague.com)
