EURO WATCH: THE FORM OF OUR GROUP E OPPONENTS

AZ Alkmaar, HŠK Zrinjski Mostar, and Legia Warszawa were all in action in their respective domestic leagues ahead of game-week three of the UEFA Conference League Group E.

Let’s have take a look at their most recent results.

On Thursday afternoon, Aston Villa will face AZ Alkmaar at the AFAS Stadion in Group E. AZ are unbeaten in the Dutch Eredivisie this season and sit in second-place behind PSV.

AZ Alkmaar followed up their 1-2 away win at Ajax with a comfortable 3-0 victory at home to sc Heerenveen on Saturday.

Alkmaar’s Vangelis Pavlidis continued his prolific goal-scoring run with a hat-trick before being substituted in the 80th minute. It was his 13th goal in the Eredivisie this season, as well as bagging two-in-two in the Europa Conference League.

This player will be a significant threat to Aston Villa.

Legia Warszawa alarming form continued; losing their fourth consecutive game!

Following a run of defeats to Jagiellonia, AZ Alkmaar, and Raków, league leaders Śląsk smashed Legia for four goals without reply.

Legia occupy fifth place in the Ekstraklasa.

The top-of-the-table clash between HŠK Zrinjski Mostar and Borac ended in a stalemate. Mostar came into the game in potent form having defeated fifth-placed FK Velež 3-0 the previous week, with a brace from experienced defender Slobodan Jakovljević and forward Mario Ćuže sealing an emphatic win.

The result left Mostar in third place in the Premijer Liga, four points behind leaders Borac, who have played a game less.

HŠK Zrinjski Mostar will play against Legia Warszawa in Bosnia on Thursday in UEFA Europa Conference League.
